Contentment and happiness

In some holy book (my guess is about Buddhism) it is said:

“Contentment leads to happiness”

I think that is true but, too much being contented all the time leads to frustration, annoyance and plain disinterest in life. Though contentment is a great goal for life, it is not a stable state to be in (if you want to really feel alive). There’s another quotation I like better:

“Stay hungry. Stay foolish.” – Steve jobs
